A Real Live Farmville
Number of people in the world as of Wed, 17 Feb 2010- 6,803,257,875. Number of them who are hungry- 1.02 billion, or almost 1/6th of humanity. Hunger and malnutrition are the number one risk to the health worldwide; greater than AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis combined. Facebook can be a platform for actual change in addition to status updates. There are 400 million active users with 50% logged on any given day. The average user spends 55 minutes a day on facebook, so please take one minute and check out what we can do to help. This isn't a liberal or conservative issue- just thought we could take a moment out of farmville to affect a tiny bit of change.
